Extrudates, as we usually see them, can be either continuous (in theory, the material produced is of any length) or semi-continuous
(producing a lot of debris). It can be hot or cold, in the process of extruding the material. PFA management belongs to the former.
The PFA extruder extrudes the raw materials through the cavity and die, through heating, using the shear of the screw and the
friction force of the raw materials themselves to make various specifications.
Because the PFA mold has no way to support the central barrier, cavities in the internal extrusion material cannot be produced using
a simple flat extrusion mold. In contrast, in the mold, the shape and depth of the piece are assumed first, and the shape outline
supporting the central part is used first. The mold shape then changes along the inner length to the final shape, supported by a
suspended center from the back of the tube core. Therefore, PFA extrusion is usually used with a multi-strand split, usually three or
four strands.
