One. How to clean the screw correctly.

1. Choose the right heating device.

Using fire or fire roasting to remove the PFA material fixed on the screw is a quick method for the PFA processing department, but can not use acetylene flame to clean the screw. Acetylene flame temperature can be up to 3000°C, using acetylene flame to clean the metal properties of the screw will not only destroy the performance of the screw, but also significantly affect the mechanical tolerance of the screw. If the acetylene flame becomes continuous blue when baking the position of the screw, that is, the metal structure of the position of the screw has changed, which may lead to the application of the position of damage reduction, and even lead to the wear resistance layer and the metal stripping of the substrate. In addition, the application of acetylene flame partial heating will also lead to the side of the screw overheating, resulting in screw bending. Most screws use the 4140. H.T. steel is manufactured with very tight tolerances, generally within 0.03mm. The flatness of the screw is mostly within 0.01mm, when the screw by acetylene flame baking cooling, it is usually difficult to restore to the original flatness. Correct and quick method: Use blowtorch to clean the screw immediately after application. The heat distribution of the screw is still uniform, because of the heat in the processing of the screw strip.

2. Choose the right detergent.

In the highly developed commodity economy today, there is no shortage of a variety of FRP screw cleaning agent (screw cleaning agent) on the market, most of the price is expensive, the use effect is not the same, whether to use commodity cleaning agent, depending on the manufacturer is different, the production situation is different; FRP processing enterprises can also use different resins as screw cleaning materials according to their own production conditions, which can save a lot of costs for the unit.

3. Choose the right cleaning method.

The cleaning screw will first close the feeding insert plate, that is, close the feeding port at the bottom of the hopper; Then the screw speed was reduced to 15-25r/min, and the speed was maintained until the PFA melt flow at the front end of the die head stopped flowing. The temperature in all heating areas of the cylinder shall be set at 200°C. Once the cylinder reaches this temperature, start cleaning immediately.

Depending on the extrusion process (it may be necessary to remove the die head to reduce the risk of excessive pressure at the front of the extruder), the cleaning should be carried out by one person: the operator observes the screw speed and torque from the operation panel, while observing the extrusion pressure to ensure that the system pressure is not too high. In this process, the screw speed should be kept within 20r/min. In the use of low pressure die head, the first need not disassemble the die head for cleaning. When the extruder is converted from the processing resin to the cleaning resin, immediately stop and remove the die head, and then restart the screw (speed between 10r/min) to drain the residual cleaning resin.

4. Select the right cleaning tools.

Appropriate tools and cleaning materials should include:

1. Heat resistant gloves; 2. Safety goggles; 3. Copper scraper; 4. Copper brush. 5. The copper mesh; Stearic acid; 6. 7. A drill; 8. Steel pipe ruler; 9. Cotton.

Once the cleaning resin stops squeezing, the screws in the equipment can be pulled out. First, remove the screws with the cooling system from the hose pipes and rotating connectors, and then start the screws to pull out the equipment (the equipment may be attached in the gearbox). Push the screws in the positions of 4-5 screw blocks to remove the equipment for easy cleaning. The cleaning resin on the screw can be cleaned with copper scraper and copper brush. After cleaning the cleaning resin on the exposed screw, push the 4-5 screw blocks forward with the screw extraction equipment to continue cleaning. This repetition, most of the screw is out of the barrel.

Clean most of the resin once removed, sprinkle some stearic acid on the screw; Then remove the residue with copper mesh, wipe the whole screw with copper mesh, and wipe the next step with cotton cloth. This is to ensure that the next production of the screw without any contaminants. After the screw is cleaned, it can be put into other machines and tools until they are clean. If you need to save the screw, the surface should be coated with a layer of oil to prevent rust. Do not use a steel tool, such as a steel screwdriver, to clean screws. A scraper or pry bar that removes plastic from the screw because steel tools can damage the surface of the screw cylinder.

Two. How to clean the cylinder correctly.

Cleaning the cylinder is much more convenient than cleaning the screw, but it is also very important.

1. When preparing the cleaning cylinder, the temperature of the cylinder is also set to 200°C.

2. Screw the round steel brush and electric drill into screws with cleaning tools, and then wrap the steel brush with copper wire mesh.

3. Before inserting the cleaning tool into the barrel, sprinkle some stearic acid on the barrel or sprinkle some stearic acid on the copper wire net of the cleaning tool;

4. When the copper wire mesh enters the barrel, start the electric drill to rotate, and manually make it move forward and backward until there is no resistance;

5. After removing the copper wire mesh from the barrel, wipe it back and forth in the barrel with cotton cloth to remove any residue of cleaned resin or fatty acid; After wiping back and forth several times, even if the cylinder has been completed cleaning. The cleaned screws and cylinders can be assembled at any time for the next production.
